I've never been much of a Karl Lagerfeld fan. I just can't seem to warm up to a man known for shielding himself behind a hand held fan and publicly stating his distaste for for women larger than a size 4.
However, this spread in the Autum/Winter Numero Homme par Lagerfeld won my affection with its daguerreotype style photos of these Jane Austin era gentleman. These vignettes reminded me of every woman's true ideal: the dashing Mr. Darcy. I dare you, take one look at these images and try not to fall in love.

Ooo, gentlemen, I love gentlemen. I feel kind of swoon-y
i only dress like that on the weekends
I completely agree with you on Lagerfield especially since I am not too keen on his clothes anyway.
I do love this fashion spread though and I wanted to thank you for pointing it out.
So in love.

Um, Emily! This is where you've been lurking - damn, I've missed out! I miss you, turban girl.
This particular article you've highlighted taps into my neo-dandy wannabe self. I love the androgyny... I do! I am going to take some pics this weekend where I will test the limits of one's comfort with a dandy. Me, that is...
So, what's news? And why didn't I know about this "daguerreo" something or other??
Hugs from the wrong side of the tracks,
Darlene
