I own several vintage riding jackets, most of which date back further than my own equestrian years... This heavy wool one works best for colder days, making it the perfect tailored cover-up for those American Apparel basics I'm always bragging on.

Something Wild

This Dior ad has got me on the prowl for a fine animal print trench. I imagine myself throwing this chic number on with a beret, heels, and not much else. . . What better to wear on a day off, running errands and sipping tea at cafes around town? It could be my go-to wardrobe staple for those nothing-to-wear days, warranting a fashion splurge. However, since Dior is sadly out of this shop girl's budget, I'm considering some similar substitutions (priced as such that I could still make rent!).

This Roberto Cavalli for H&M zebra trench can still be found on ebay. It pales in comparison to the Dior, and isn't as long as I'd like. . . But is still a feasible option.

L.A.M.B.'s 'mama cheetah' trench is also appealing, though I suppose not as graphically chic as a zebra pattern.
I'm eagerly hunting other options. . . If anyone spies a note-worthy zebra/ cheetah/ giraffe print trench- please send a note my way!

Eh, it's a Monday. . . What can I say?

I'm in love. Or at least mildly obsessed, with COURREGES'"Lunettes Eskimo" sunglasses. First introduced to me in that iconic 1965 William Klein photograph, these sunglasses seem to make a mod-ified reference to the first ever sunglasses, worn by Eskimos. These otherworldly show pieces reappeared in my subconscious recently when I spied this original pair on ebay, starting at $1300... True love, it seems, must wait.

Look, it's snowing (kinda) in Atlanta!
vintage houndstooth trapeze/ swing coat
Moschino jacket (you can kinda see the sleeves, right?)
Vivienne Westwood bag

What's this? Let's see. . .
American Apparel dress/tights/bag

Steve Madden super deal 40's lookin' sandals
bomber jacket (from, ahem, Target)
and best of all.... GWEN STEFANI NECKLACE (it came with my 'Yummy'Gwen doll!!!!
I knew you'd be impressed.

hello again!

True, I've been gone quite a while. . . Seems there just isn't enough time each day to dress, work, blog, catch up with WWD and the like AND (supposedly) have a life. So I've returned in modified form: inspired by my favorite blogster, Susie of Stylebubble and her blog extension: Style Bubble Daily Wear. Like Facehunter for one, I'll be posting some of my daily wears, and time permitting, a few thoughts along the way. . .
