Galliano saves the season

God Bless you, John Galliano, for giving us some color for fall, and saving the world from what could've been a very drab season. . . Lucky for us, the master of couture showed a ready to wear collection for Christian Dior full of classic glamour . . . Fur trimmed citron frocks with 1940's tailoring, tilt hats to high heaven, and platform heels in exotic skins Ava Gardner would've loved. (Whoever said platforms were on the way out - Was it you, Vogue? - was thankfully mistaken).

I'm not a fan of his rtw (although I worship his couture), but I surprisingly am in love with the shoes!

It reminds me of some of his earlier collections, wow he's already referencing himself!
...and the shoes, delish, but ofcourse that reference point is Westwood.

Just hoping the fur is not real ... come on, that should be a no-brainer.

I can't say I was overjoyed with this collection, but I definitely missed those shoes! They are perfect. I love and would wear those shoes in a heart beat if I could walk in something like that!
