With all the best dressed lists appearing as this year ends, I feel compelled to add my own two cents as to who has mad some fabulously unique fashion statements in 2006.
My top three ladies: Gwen Stefani, Dita von Teese, and Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. These three fearless dressers seem incapable of bending to trends or getting lost in a crowd.
Pay attention: these style originals are icons in the making!

I WOULD HAVE TO ADD KELIS AND THE OLSEN TWINS AND SELMA BLAIR AND CHLOE SEVIGNY. THEN AGAIN, I JUST THINK THEY ARE MONDO HOT.
I definitely give Karen O. massive props for her fearless style. She pulls of the most unlikely of looks simple because of her confidence.
I love Dita, too, if only for so wonderfully pulling off a vintage look without coming across as costume-y or affected.
